Inerrancy

In the defense of one's faith, there needs to be a source that can provide a foundation which is solid.
I believe that determining this source, is the key for sharing the Gospel and providing doctrinal truth.

I've seen far too many 'christians', become weak & 'lose their faith' due to them not knowing what to believe, only to discover... they never believed to begin with.
Furthermore, I have seen christians being stumped by the 'errors' & 'contradiction' which are found in Satan's bibles... Modern Versions, which succeed in creating doubt and uncertainty.

So let's demonstrate how we determine inerrancy...

Defending the KJV as Inerrant

The KJV, finalized in 1611 and using the 1769 edition we rely on today, is based on the preserved manuscripts God promised to keep pure (like in Psalm 12:6-7 KJV: "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."). It's not that the translators were perfect, but the text they used – the Textus Receptus for the New Testament and the Masoretic Text for the Old – has been faithfully handed down without corruption.

Critics claim errors, but they're often misunderstandings. For example, people say Acts 12:4 KJV uses "Easter" instead of "Passover," but that's no mistake – it's referring to the pagan festival Herod observed after Passover, fitting the context perfectly. Or take 1 John 5:7 KJV: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." Modern versions cut this out based on shaky manuscripts, but the KJV keeps it because it's in the majority of historical texts. Sources like kjvtoday.net break this down, showing how alleged "errors" are actually defenses against corrupt changes in other Bibles. Dean Burgon, a scholar from the 1800s, argued in his works (available through Chick Publications) that the KJV's underlying texts are pure, unlike the Alexandrian manuscripts riddled with omissions. Brandplucked.com has tons of articles proving the KJV has no real contradictions – like how numbers in Chronicles match Kings when you understand the context of reigns overlapping.

In short, the KJV stands as God's preserved Word because it aligns perfectly internally, historically, and prophetically. No other book does that. Now, let's see how other faiths' final authorities crumble under scrutiny, often by contradicting themselves, adding man-made traditions that undermine the KJV's clear teachings, or borrowing from pagan roots.

1. Catholicism – Not True Christianity, Full of Contradictions

Catholicism claims the Bible, tradition, and the Magisterium (church teaching) as authorities, but they all clash. Their Bibles, like the Douay-Rheims or NAB, add books like Tobit that contradict the core 66 books of the KJV. For instance, Tobit 12:9 says alms can deliver from death and purge sin, but that's against Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Church fathers contradict each other and doctrine. Augustine said Mary sinned (citing Romans 3:23 KJV: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"), but later Catholics claim her Immaculate Conception (she was sinless). Jerome argued against apocryphal books, yet Catholicism includes them. Even Pope Gregory the Great called the title "universal bishop" blasphemous, but later popes claimed infallibility.

Catholic doctrine contradicts itself: Papal infallibility was declared in 1870, but earlier popes like Honorius were condemned for heresy by councils. Their Bibles contradict doctrine too – the Vulgate has errors, like in Psalm 138:2 where it downplays God's Word above His name, unlike the KJV: "thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."

Traditions undermine God's words: Praying to Mary ignores 1 Timothy 2:5 KJV: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Many practices come from paganism – like the rosary from Hindu prayer beads or Mary as "Queen of Heaven" from Babylonian goddess worship (Jeremiah 7:18 KJV warns against it). Check bible.ca for more on refuting these, or gotquestions.org articles like "Is prayer to saints or Mary biblical?" which shows it's not.

2. Jehovah's Witnesses – Corrupt Texts and False Prophecies

JWs use the New World Translation (NWT), which twists the KJV to fit their doctrines. For example, John 1:1 KJV says "the Word was God," but NWT says "the Word was a god" – adding "a" to deny Christ's deity, contradicting Isaiah 9:6 KJV: "his name shall be called... The mighty God."

Their Watchtower organization contradicts itself with failed prophecies, like predicting Christ's return in 1914 (then changing it to invisible), undermining Deuteronomy 18:22 KJV: "When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not... that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken."

They undermine KJV authority by adding rules like no blood transfusions (twisting Acts 15:29), ignoring context. Pagan roots? Their founder Charles Russell used pyramidology from Egyptian occult for dates. See carm.org for details on NWT corruptions.

3. Mormonism (LDS) – Book of Mormon Errors and Changes

Mormons add the Book of Mormon (BoM) as scripture, but it contradicts the KJV. BoM (Alma 7:10) says Jesus was born in Jerusalem, but Micah 5:2 KJV specifies Bethlehem. BoM claims dark skin as a curse (2 Nephi 5:21), but the KJV teaches equality (Acts 17:26).

The BoM has been changed over 3,900 times since 1830, like removing "white and delightsome" to "pure" – admitting errors. Doctrines shift too: Polygamy was once essential, now banned.

They undermine the KJV by saying it's not fully reliable without BoM (Article 8), despite Revelation 22:18-19 KJV warning against adding. Pagan elements? Joseph Smith's seer stones echo occult practices. Carm.org has articles on BoM archaeological fails, like no evidence for its civilizations.

4. Islam – Quran Contradictions and Historical Issues

The Quran is Islam's final authority, but it has errors. It says Mary is part of the Trinity (Surah 5:116), but the KJV never says that – the Trinity is Father, Son, Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Scientifically, Surah 18:86 says the sun sets in a muddy spring, a flat-earth myth.

Quran contradicts itself: Surah 41:9-12 says creation in 8 days, but Surah 7:54 says 6. It undermines the KJV by claiming the Bible is corrupted (Surah 5:47), yet tells Christians to judge by it.

Practices like the Kaaba stone-kissing come from pre-Islamic paganism. Jay Smith's work (archive.org) shows the Quran borrowed from Jewish and Christian apocrypha, with historical origins in 7th-century Arabia full of inconsistencies. See carm.org for more Quran errors.

5. Hinduism – Vedas and Gita Inconsistencies

Hinduism's scriptures like the Vedas and Bhagavad Gita are full of contradictions. The Rig Veda says there's one God (10:121), but also many gods (polytheism). The caste system in Manusmriti justifies inequality, but the Gita hints at equality – clashing ideas.

They contradict the KJV: Reincarnation denies Hebrews 9:27 KJV: "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." No single authority means endless interpretations.

Traditions undermine biblical truth by mixing gods, ignoring Exodus 20:3 KJV: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Pagan origins? It's inherently polytheistic with roots in ancient Indo-European myths. Carm.org explains Hinduism's humanist philosophy lacking a coherent creator.

6. Seventh-day Adventists – Ellen White's Errors Over the Bible

SDAs use the KJV but elevate Ellen White's writings, which contradict it. White said the door of mercy closed in 1844 (Great Controversy), but that's false prophecy per Deuteronomy 18:22. She claimed Sunday worship is the mark of the beast, twisting Revelation, yet the KJV emphasizes grace, not legalism (Colossians 2:16).

White plagiarized much of her work and had visions contradicting science, like people on Jupiter. They undermine KJV by adding Sabbath-keeping for salvation, against Romans 14:5.

Pagan ties? Their health focus echoes vegetarian cults. Carm.org details White's failed visions and how SDAs mix law and grace wrongly.

7. Buddhism – Logical Flaws in Core Teachings

Buddhism's sutras teach no-self (anatta), but then talk of karma carrying over reincarnations – how, if there's no self? Contradicts itself: Nirvana is end of suffering, but if life's illusion, why bother?

It clashes with the KJV: Denies a creator God, against Genesis 1:1. Reincarnation ignores judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

Traditions like idol worship undermine Exodus 20:4. Pagan roots in ancient Indian shamanism. Carm.org shows Buddhism's inconsistencies on suffering without addressing sin's root.

In the end, these faiths' authorities just don't hold up like the KJV does. If you're seeking truth, start with the Bible alone – it's inerrant and points to Jesus as the way (John 14:6 KJV). Check the sources I mentioned; they've helped me a ton.
